Sakura Momo Interview - All about her sex life

On May 1, current G-cup gravure idol Sakura Momo makes her shocking AV debut! --You’re originally from the gravure world, were you always interested in show business?
Sakura Momo (“Sakura” from here on out): Yes! I love music, and I came to Tokyo to become a singer. I wanted to be like the singer YUI and sing with a guitar in my hand.....that’s what I was going for.

--Wow, so you can play the guitar!?
Sakura: I can’t (lol)! I’ve always wanted to practice, but my desire to have my nails done always outweighs it (lol). So then I thought I’ll just be a vocalist and sing in a band!

--(She sure is energetic). How did you go from that to gravure!?
Sakura: Just because (lol)! I’d been watching AV for a while, and I was kind of interested in work where I took my clothes off. And I went to a hot spring resort with my girlfriends and they were like, “your body’s amazing!” And that was a huge encouragement. I thought I might as well give it a try! I was my own cheerleader (lol).

--(How upbeat is this girl?) Yes, your body is amazing.
Sakura: Really!? I love my own body too! I like the way my waist curves in from my breast area!

--You’re praising yourself (lol)!
Sakura: I do look at myself in the mirror and think, “great tits”... (shy laugh). I love how they point straight up. I don’t like how visible my ribs are though. I’d look more feminine if I had some more fat on my bones!

--You’re originally a gravure idol, and you released your image DVD, “The Shy G-Cup” in February.
Sakura: Yes! It’s my virgin release! It’s got a different feeling than the AV stuff, so I’d like people to watch it!

--I heard you had a sales event, how did it go?
Sakura: I was talking to my manager how it would be really bad if nobody showed up. But a lot of people came on the day!! And all the DVDs we brought sold out. I was so happy! Thank you so much!

--You sold out!? Wow! With that many customers, it must have been hard to make the time to shake hands and take pictures, right?
Sakura: No, it was so much fun!!! I immediately fell in love with everyone! Striking poses was a little hard. I didn’t have the experience. So first I asked them, “Please tell me if there’s a pose you’d like me to take!”

--Where did the fans focus their pictures on?
Sakura: Uh......my breasts? Teehee! But they brought in their camera equipment and lighting, I was surprised at how professional they were. Like, “these guys are serious!”

Did you get presents?
Sakura: Yes, I did! Bath salts, expensive earphones, food. Even love letters, when we were meeting for the first time. It’s like, “nice to meet you...” and they’re already asking me out. It was weird but I was happy! They made sure to put down their contact info too (lol).

--They wrote their contact info down, they must have been serious. How did the 2-shots go?
Sakura: Even my manager told me that I was getting too close to the fans! I was giving them big loving hugs to show how grateful I was that they came out all this way, but I guess I was going too far, hahaha!

--Your boobs were probably touching them.
Sakura: Oh! Right!! I actually don’t mind that at all... I am truly grateful to all my fans! Thank you!

--By the way, what scenes do you remember from “The Shy G-Cup”?
Sakura: The scene where I went to my boyfriend’s house was memorable. The setup was that I’m talking into the camera like it’s my boyfriend...and it was really hard! I had to suddenly act! Also, the house was actually the director’s or a staff member’s house I think. ...It was a mess. He hadn’t cleaned at all (lol), I was like, come on! Hahaha!

--They were trying to make it look lived in! (Why am I defending them?) So that was your successful foray into AV! What did you think when they offered it to you?
Sakura: Like, “yes!” The only work that I’ve decided to do on my own and had so much fun doing is gravure and AV. I said this before, but I’d been interested in AV for a while, so I was really excited! I’d been slogging through work before......(awkward smile).

--What work did you do before gravure?
Sakura: I was a waitress at a family restaurant. I was searching for my dreams and I guess I was just sort of dragging my feet. I did talk a lot with an old man who was a regular customer (lol)!

--You’re usually always very upbeat and energetic, were you like that as a waitress too?
Sakura: Huh!? I thought I was pretty calm. I was thinking to myself how ladylike I was again today (lol)!

--Maybe by 20%.
Sakura: Are you kidding!? I’m shocked (lol)!

--What are you like when you’re in a relationship?
Sakura: Well, I get pretty needy.

--You want attention?
Sakura: Yes! I want to constantly be together. Haha (lol). I want to be right by your side all the time. Yeah, it’s probably annoying (lol).

--What do you like to do on a house date?
Sakura: It’s cliché, but I like watching DVDs together. I like SF fantasies, like Harry Potter (lol). I also like space war movies too. I prefer things that aren’t that emotionally trying!

--Emotionally trying?
Sakura: Watching a sad movie gets you down, right? And movies with a lot of bad guys makes you scared. I don’t want to spend money on getting depressed! You want to stay happy, right!? (lol).

--I see.
Sakura: That’s what I mean (lol).

--Do you have an ideal date plan?
Sakura: Hmm...now I’d like to go to a aquarium. That darkness is nice. I like to get real close in public too...like...I might even kiss the guy! When I’m in love I get so happy, I don’t even notice what’s around me.

--Does that happiness last long?
Sakura: ......

--So it doesn’t last long (lol).
Sakura: Hahahaha! It’s usually the case that it doesn’t......(lol). I’d love to be in love like that forever, but whenever I really get into a proper relationship, it doesn’t really happen......

--So you’re available right now?
Sakura:Yeah......

--(Sh-she suddenly sounds so down.) What do you do when you’re at home?
Sakura: I spend a lot of time at home......I can be pretty moody, so...... I don’t go out that much.

--I thought you were more upbeat.
Sakura: I only go out once in a while, so I go to the opposite extreme like, “yeahhh!!” and get all excited. Hahaha!

--(She’s back to her bubbly self!) When was your first time?
Sakura: Whoa, that’s a very AV question (lol)!

--It’s a very common question (lol).
Sakura: When I was in my second year of high school. It was at my older boyfriend’s house. I was all nervous, like, “are we doing it today or not...?” And sure enough he made his moves on me like, “here we go!” Yeah, like that.

--What are you, Oda Yuuji? And then what?
Sakura: It hurt like hell! Like really hurt! Excruciating pain! I was like, I don’t ever want to do this again. But guys can’t wait to do it all over again. ...It’s kind of scary.

--How many people have you slept with?
Sakura: Three!

--Oh, so you’re pretty hard to get!
Sakura: I hardly ever leave my house, so...... I don’t go out to parties either, so I don’t end up in bed with someone on a whim. I only have sex after I’ve started going out with someone. Yeah, I guess I am kind of hard to get (lol)!

--What kind of guys do you like?
Sakura: I like a natural man. Someone who can stick with me and my energy, who’s there with a smile. Physically.......I don’t have any particular preference. I’m happy with old guys too! I do want them to at least do the bare minimum in terms of taking care of themselves though. I don’t want a guy with his hair all messy and his shirt all creased...

--Out of the three people you’ve slept with, have you ever had sex in a strange place?
Sakura: Well, it’s usually at a love hotel. I guess it’s just in normal places!

--Wait, I heard that you did it under a bridge or something......
Sakura: Wha!? Wait, how did you know about that......eek!

--I heard from the producer of your debut release. (DMM News is very investigative.)
Sakura: ......Th-that’s true, but......did I tell him that? I don’t remember telling him about that! Hahahahaha! (Note from Editorial staff: She apparently definitely told him.) I think it was back in high school, I almost went all the way under a bridge. A younger student saw me, and the next day was like, “I saw you having sex under a bridge.” I was like, “eeeeeeeek!” (lol). I did it at a community center as well. Teeheee!! Hahaha!!

--So you have done it in strange places!
Sakura: I’ve done it in a bathroom too.

--You really have done it!
Sakura: In a lot of places (lol). At school, too.

--The rumors must have spread.
Sakura: Yeah, totally (lol).

--You’re a local legend!
Sakura: N-no I’m not, it’s mostly at love hotels. (Shy).

--There’s an interesting love hotel in Kinshicho in Sumida ward.
Sakura: In Kinshicho? Oh, with lots of different rooms?

--You know about it, you’ve been!
Sakura: Hahaha!!! .......Yeah, I know about it (lol).
